Our Commitment To Child Safety At MSJFNC.

Melton South Junior Football Netball Club (MSJFNC) is committed to providing a safe and
welcoming environment for all children and young people who participate in our football and
netball programs.

MSJFNC has a zero tolerance to any form of child abuse or harm that may occur in a physical or
online environment and any allegations will be treated seriously, in a culturally sensitive manner
and in line with the clubs and the AFLs and Netball Victoria's policies and reporting
procedures.

As a junior football and netball club we take the safety and wellbeing of all our participants
seriously and view child safety as a shared responsibility from all members and volunteers at
MSJFNC.

The AFL's National Community Football Policy Handbook outlines the scope and responsibilities
as a junior football club and community and what will do to meet our obligations.

MSJFNC Code Of Conduct

To ensure that all players, parents and volunteers understand their responsibilities upon
commencement of the season they are required to read and sign the MSJFNC Code of Conduct.

Safeguarding at MSJFNC

To support our club and ensure compliance with the AFL's Safeguarding Policies and
Procedures we have appointed a Child Safeguarding Officer (CSO). Our CSO is responsible for:

● Communicating and promoting awareness and understanding of Safeguarding Policy
and Procedures.
● Helping adults at the Club understand their obligations to protect children and young
people and promote their rights and ensuring appropriate screening takes place and is
up to date.
● Act as the first point of contact for all safeguarding matters as well as receive and
escalate complaints, concerns and incidents to the club, Committee, or the AFL State
Entity/AFL for appropriate action.

For more information or to report a concern you can contact our CSO at
